UCEA Great Plains Region Innovations and Contributions (2006)

Axio Learning was selected as the recipient of the 2006 Great Plains Region Innovations and Contributions Award.

This award, presented by the University Continuing Education Association, recognizes outstanding contributions that have been made in the continuing education field.

This award was presented to a representative of Axio Learning Oct. 20 at the Marriott Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Mo. The award reception was part of the annual UCEA Joint Great Plains Mid-America Conference Oct. 18-20 at the Kauffman Conference Center in Kansas City.

"Starting in 1997, K-State Online was a tool that we developed to meet the needs of instructors and students at Kansas State University. As we went to conferences and events such as those held by University Continuing Education Association, we received a lot of interest from other member organizations. That encouragement pushed us to make K-State Online available to any institution that would benefit from its many educational uses.

As we developed Axio Learning, we kept these experiences and other organizations in mind. We wanted to build an Axio community of strong associations committed to online learning. Ten years later, were excited and honored to be recognized by the very people that we set out to serve."
