Axio Help Will Not Open In Mozilla Firefox
When you try to open Axio Help using Mozilla Firefox, it appears in a small box that is not resizable. Firefox is viewing the Help as a pop-up and is blocking it from opening.
*To fix:*
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the Content tab.
- Click the Exceptions button for Block pop-up windows.
- Type axio.axiolearning.org and click Allow.
- Click the Close button and then click OK to close the Options box.
- Restart Firefox
If this does not fix the issue, you most likely have a conflicting extension and will need to disable it. A known extension that confl icts with the Axio Help is Tab Mix Plus. You may also try closing the box and then clicking Help again (without restarting Firefox).
.Hide A Manual Assignment Until Graded
Manual assignments have a setting labeled “Immediately show grades in Student Gradebook as they are entered but don’t show a 0 to those who have not been given a grade.” This rather lengthy title is to let you know that when checked, grades you enter will immediately show in the students’ Gradebook. Until you enter a grade, the assignment (and consequently a grade) will not show in the students’ Gradebook.
If you do not select this option, any students for whom you have not submitted grades will see the assignment and a zero score in their Gradebook. The grade posted date will still be honored.
A manual assignment is completed outside of Axio (such as in-class work) and the instructor manually enters grades.
1. From the course Tools page, click Assignment Manager in the Assessment Suite. 2. Click Create Assignment. 3. Select Manual as the assignment type and click Continue. 4. Enter an Assignment Name, Title for Gradebook, and Total Points. 5. Select the checkbox for Immediately show grades in the Student Gradebook as they are entered but don’t show a 0 to those who have not yet been given a grade. 6. Select any other General Properties you want to apply and click Save
